Higgovale Quarry safety? Post by Alex69 » Mon Apr 11, 2011 3:05 pm. Hi guys, My lady friend and I have moved down to CPT and live very near the quarry. Just wanted to see if people climb there often? Walked there the other day and the gate was locked (I mean you can just jump the fence etc). Also felt super isolated and dodgy.

Located in a suburb below Table Mountain, this quarry was once a shooting range. The routes are all slab/face climbs and are all bolted. It is possible to walk round to the top and put top ropes on most of the routes. About 15 routes. Grades vary from 9/4a - 29/7c+.
